About Lake Region Bank

Lake Region Bank is a small-town bank with big-city solutions with branches in Willmar, New London, and Sunburg, Minnesota. In addition to personal and business banking, Lake Region Bank also offers wealth management and insurance solutions. The bank is known as a trusted community partner that actively supports and participates in community activities.  

BRAND IDENTITY

Lake Region Bank approached Origin Smart Marketing for some help refreshing its brand identity before embarking on a website project. The Solutionistas were thrilled to help with both!

The bank’s updated brand identity maintained it’s iconic sailboat and sunset mark while updating the design and freshening up the colors. The Solutionistas provided full-color logos and marks as well as black-and-white, white, and grayscale. We also prepared a brand kit with color and font style guidance for the bank to apply across its marketing channels.

WEBSITE DESIGN

Once the bank’s brand identity was refreshed, it was time to create beautiful new website that improved functionality and accessibility for users. The Solutionistas created a fun, warm, and welcoming tone for the site while maintaining strict standards that adhered to any and all regulations. 

The new website makes it easy for visitors to understand the bank’s major services and products. It also showcases the bank’s community outreach, friendly staff, and active Good Neighbor Club for customers aged 50 or better. The new website is certified AudioEye Trusted and features a full suite of accessibility options, from increasing contrast and text size to focus, cursor, and highlight tools. This was a design and development challenge the Solutionistas welcomed. We were happy to flex our know-how to create a website anyone can use.

WordPress Care Plan

To make sure the Lake Region Bank’s website would stay in tip-top shape, the Solutionistas recommended our comprehensive WordPress Care Plan. Every month, we make sure that their database and WordPress files are backed up, safe, and secure. We also perform any required updates to the site’s plugins, themes, and WordPress itself. Finally, we conduct a health check to make sure the site is being indexed by Google and contained no major errors within Google Search Console.

INBOUND MARKETING

Once the new website was live, it was time to show it off! Since the launch, the Solutionistas have managed the bank’s digital marketing plan. The plan is built around landing pages that showcase the Lake Region Bank’s core services. Monthly blog posts and emails drive traffic to the landing pages and increase lead generation on the website.

Blog

The Lake Region blog highlights the benefits and features of many of the bank’s capabilities as well as Good Neighbor Club trips and staff interviews. The bank promotes the blog in monthly email blasts to its customers and features blog posts on social media, too.

Good Neighbor Club Trips

The Solutionistas support the marketing for the bank’s Good Neighbor Club senior travel club as well. We coordinate with the club’s director to publish blog posts highlighting upcoming trips and send a quarterly email with all of the club’s activities. 

Email Marketing

The Solutionistas send monthly emails to Lake Region Bank’s customers on the bank’s behalf. The monthly email blasts feature a landing page, blog posts, and any relevant banking services. To ensure the content is highly relevant to recipients, the bank sends one email to personal banking patrons and another to business banking customers.

Landing Page

The Lake Region bank landing pages feature search-optimized copy and strong calls-to-action. Every landing page focuses on a different core capability, from home loans to business digital banking. The bank uses the landing pages as a tool to generate new business. The Solutionistas promote the latest landing page with a pop-up on the website.
