Lake Central Bank has served Annandale and surrounding communities since 1893. The institution offers banking, investment, and insurance products and services to personal and business customers. Lake Central has convenient branches in Annandale, Clearwater, and Maple Lake.
Designing for an Established Brand
The bank has changed names in the 129 years it has been in business, most recently in 2017. The institution’s logo features a duck taking flight off the water, reflecting the bank’s name and its location in the heart of the lake country.
In their new WordPress website, Lake Central Bank wanted to expand its naturalistic branding and warm, welcoming culture. The Solutionistas created a design that capitalized on the brand’s golden tones, incorporating autumn lake scenes and river rocks into the design of the site.
Working Within a Regulated Business
For Lake Central Bank, creating a beautiful, functional, and information website wasn’t enough. The bank also needed to comply with the federal financial and insurance regulations that govern their work. The Solutionistas added the required Equal Opportunity Lender and Member FDIC logos to the footer of the website as well as required disclosures to its insurance, investments, and lending pages.
Developing an Accessible WordPress Website
Accessibility was another required component for the Lake Central Bank website. The bank needed to make sure all customers could access the information on their website. The Solutionistas needed to make sure that every page had accessibility options. An accessibility sticky menu made sure that all accessibility tools were easy to find and use.
