BACKUPS

Your backup plugins will generate full backups of your site’s database and WordPress files. The backups will be stored off-site to a secure Google Drive account so if there is ever a failure on your website server, your backups are still safe and can be used to get your website back up and running. Depending on your hosting and your plan they may also create a daily backup like Kinsta hosting, which is stored for a minimum of 14 days.

UPDATES

We will perform monthly updates to plugins, themes and WordPress itself to reduce the risk of security issues. We typically perform monthly website updates in the last half of the month. We’ll review your site once it is updated to ensure all updates were installed successfully and haven’t adversely affected your site. If we spot any issues, we resolve them immediately.

HEALTH CHECK

We will do a monthly check to make sure your site is being indexed by Google, not blacklisted, and contains no major errors within Google Search Console. If a serious issue is identified, the client will be notified to determine how to proceed.

Security/Malware

We will add a security scanning tool to your site to send us alerts about high volume failed login attempts and to look for modifications to the core files as provided by WordPress.org. If we do identify or suspect a problem, you will be notified to direct us on how to proceed. Our basic WP Care Plan does not include malware support, removal, or firewall protection. Credit Card Reminder

Your site can be shut down due to an expired or canceled credit card on your domain registrar or hosting account. So, it’s important to keep your credit cards in your hosting accounts updated! If we have access, we will do our best to help keep an eye on this by including your credit card expiration info on your WP Care Plan Report.

Annual Licenses for Plugins

Origin Smart Marketing uses plugins to enhance the user experience and functionality of your website. Many plugins come with annual price tag. If Origin Smart Marketing has an agency license key for a plugin, its cost is rolled into your WordPress Care Plan. But if you choose to cancel your WordPress Care Plan, it will be your responsibility to purchase your own annual license keys for each plugin that requires one.
